Job Description:

We have a fantastic opportunity for someone who's started their Continuous improvement journey to take on a new challenge. Ideally based in commutable distance of South South Ockendon, this role will lead CI activities on site. With the support of the wider CI team, you'll help deliver CI guidelines and central Supply Chain Excellence.

It a great opportunity for someone with operational exposure, looking to take a leading role in delivering CI at a site level.


Our sites include manufacturing, storage and distribution and your role will help develop and implement 5S & CI programs, initiatives, and develop the CI culture on site.

You'll be there to help coach and mentor employees on CI methods and tools as well as conduct training.

Key responsibilities

  • To lead and manage the continuous improvement function within the service centre to drive process improvements and operational excellence.
  • To develop and implement Continuous Improvement strategies
  • Lead the implementation of 5S at the assigned site
  • Lead the development of a CI culture within safety, service, quality, cost and process reliability
  • Share best practices proactively identify and promote sharing of learnings and best practices across sites
  • Assist in the collection of data identifying opportunities and for tracking improvements
  • Demonstrate a knowledge of and commitment to Lean manufacturing principles and techniques
  • Accountable for tracking all CI Projects and reporting progress to plant staff
What you'll need;

  • Previous Continuous Improvement experience, working with cross functional teams to deliver change
  • Ideally with direct management experience in a supply chain discipline
  • Experience of using 5S/LEAN/Six Sigma processes to deliver solutions.
  • Implementation of projects in manufacturing environment
  • Previous Implementation of 5S
  • Delivering training across the workforce
  • Welldeveloped quantitative and qualitative analytical and critical thinking skills
