    Head of Organisational Learning & Development

    Hours of Work: Full-time (35 hours per week, Monday to Friday)

    Contract type: Permanent

    Salary: The starting salary will be from £56,021 - £64,914 per annum in Grade 9, depending on qualifications and experience

    Job Description

    As the Head of Organisational Learning & Development, your primary responsibility will be to oversee and manage initiatives aimed at improving the effectiveness and performance of Leeds Trinity University. You will lead a team consisting of an OD Business Partner, L&D Manager, Wellbeing and Inclusion Specialist, L&D Coordinator, and OL&D Administrator, ensuring their alignment with organisational goals and strategies.

    Working closely with the Deputy Director of People and Culture, your role will involve developing an action plan aimed at achieving the goals set forth in the Organisational Development (OD) aspects of the People and Culture Strategy.

    As a member of the People and Culture Senior Leadership Team, you will also share responsibility for delegated budget management, contributing to the strategic direction and decision-making process.

    Your leadership and management skills will be instrumental in driving positive change and fostering a culture of continuous learning and development within the university. Through your strategic vision and effective execution of initiatives, you will contribute to the overall success and advancement of Leeds Trinity University.

    Responsibilities

  • In liaison with the Deputy Director of People and Culture, to develop an action plan which will deliver on the ambitions of the Organisational Development (OD) aspects of the People and Culture Strategy
  • A member of the People and Culture Senior Leadership Team, hold delegated budget responsibility, with shared responsibility for leading a progressive, forward-thinking People and Culture service to the University
  • To work closely with the Dean of the Centre of Excellence in Learning and Teaching (CELT),
  • Dean of the Research and Director of the Office for Institutional Equity to ensure alignment of the University's strategic ambitions and OD activity/L&D provision
  • To ensure that all OD interventions are monitored and measured to ensure that they are effectively meeting the aims and ambitions set out within the University's Strategy and sub-Strategies
  • Through effective leadership of the O, L & D team, to ensure that the O, L&D aims and ambitions are delivered and that KPIs are met
  • About You

  • A degree or masters degree in Organisational Psychology, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Professional level 7 qualifications or training in organisational development, change management, coaching or leadership development
  • Professional accreditation in psychometric testing, coaching or workplace mediation or equivalent applied experience
  • Chartered Member of CIPD with evidence of continuing professional development required to maintain professional recognition
  • Experience of leading People related services in complex, highly regulated organisations, working in a unionised environment
  • Strong understanding of organisational development theories, methodologies, and best practices
  • Proven significant experience of supporting organisations with transformational change, colleague engagement and leadership development programmes
  • Location:

    You will be based at our Horsforth Campus and through our agile working framework, will also spend time working remotely, which will be discussed further at interview.
