The Head of Property and Estates Management will ensure that our homes and places are safe and well maintained and that our contractual obligations to customers and communities are delivered effectively and efficiently.


  • Lead the effective implementation of the new property management operating model
  • Lead phase two of the estates services operating model review and implement any recommendations.
  • Develop and promote active community involvement, both to coauthor solutions and monitor outcomes
  • Develop and implement annual property management and estate services work plans
  • Work with stakeholder teams to develop and implement new place standards and supporting inspection regimes, to ensure the required standards are achieved and maintained
  • Commission works and/or services to improve places where insight identifies a deficit in standards
  • Own localised budgets and estate service charges
  • Support the complaints management process, using root cause analysis and customer feedback to drive improvement
  • Lead the development and delivery of strategic and operational business plans, policies, and procedures
  • Lead on all aspects of employee management and development

What will help you make a difference.
You will be an individual with broad experience in strategic property and place management that can deliver and embed change taking a commercial and customer focussed approach


Other qualities should include:

  • Membership of IRP (Part 2), Associate RICS and/or other relevant management/professional qualifications.
  • Significant stakeholder, community engagement and partnership working
  • Track record of delivering results and continuous improvement
  • Significant contracts management experience
  • Ability to translate complex data and business insight into strategic and operational plans
  • Abe to travel to meet the needs of the role
  • Able to participate in the out of hours emergency rota
