Payroll Apprentice


Tattersall Bailey is actively seeking an organised, motivated, adaptable person who is looking to undertake a Payroll apprenticeship within our welcoming team.

Tattersall Bailey is modern, forward-thinking; invest significantly in technology and is rapidly expanding, with offices in Cockermouth and Carlisle.

We are actively seeking a motivated individual who is looking to undertake a position in our busy payroll department, which currently process circa 400 client payroll schemes.


Following training, some of the duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Processing all payroll related transactions, which includes weekly, fortnightly, four weekly and calendar monthly payroll
  • CIS and Auto Enrolment compliance
  • SMP, SPP, holiday pay and employee benefits in kind transactions
  • Produce reports using cloudbased technology.
  • Communicating with HM Revenue & Customs
  • Liaising with clients to provide a professional and efficient service.

  • Strong numerical skills
  • Organised with excellent time management skills.
