JSS Search's Public Sector division are proud to be supporting a Government organisation, to recruit an
Interim Project Accountant on an initial 6 month contract that is very likely to be extended beyond this point.

This is a great opportunity to be able to work across a large number of projects across IT/Tech, Legal, Estates, HR, BAU and across the London Boroughs.

Specific responsibilities include:

Leading with delivering planning, budgeting and forecasting.
Facilitating regular meetings with budget holders and programme mangers to review and challenge financial performance against current project budgets.
Preparation of the inyear and multiyear budgets for income and resource and capital expenditure.
Use the financial data available and interrogate and identify trends or unusual activity and leading on the investigation within the business including identifying key risks and opportunities.
Preparation of monthly management accounts and monitoring income and expenditure.
Support the production of business cases, financial assurance and advice.
Have held CTC, SC or DV security clearance previously or have active and current security clearance.
Be either fully CCAB qualified or be an actively studying finalist accountant working towards completing
Have significant experience in providing project and financial analytical support, including budgeting, forecasting and management reporting.
Possess excellent communication skills and be able to relay complex financial information into layman terms for a wide variety of stakeholders.
