Description
Ontic, an aerospace industry leading provider of 'Extended Life Solutions' for Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) legacy and non-core products, has an exciting opportunity for an MRO Repair Technician to join our growing team based at our Staverton site in Gloucestershire. This role would be suited to someone with hydraulic/pneumatic experience and is the perfected opportunity to join a business that is growing at rapid pace
What will you be doing?
You'll be joining a talented, welcoming and collaborative team and will be responsible for the assembly, test and inspection of various hydraulic/pneumatic instruments, using complex diagnostic tests and methodologies as well as high-level technical build. You will be able to fault find and repair on various components
You'll effectively interpret and utilise assembly and engineering drawing/specifications. You'll also be responsible for ensuring that all assembly, test functions are completed to the necessary quality standards – they meet contractual customer expectations and conformance to enable progression to final inspection and release. It's also crucial in this role that you adhere to legislation governing employment, including but not restricted to; health and safety, data protection, equal opportunities, quality assurance ensuring compliance with statutory and local policies and procedures.
What do you need to know?
You'll possess relevant experience working in a similar role, ideally within Aviation/Aerospace however this is not essential. You'll have no problem reading and interpreting engineering drawings and will be have experience in working with hydraulic/pneumatic components. You'll have worked with measurement equipment in the past such as Verniers, Micrometres and will have excellent hand-eye coordination. You'll be able to work both independently and also as part of a team whilst possessing excellent prioritisation skills.
