Job description
Are you an Engineer with experience in mechanical, systems or manufacturing engineering and keen to make a difference supporting the UK's Armed Forces? These Engineering Manager positions fall within the Land Equipment Operating Centre (LEOC),


which covers various Land Equipment projects such as Mechanised Infantry Vehicle, Main Battle Tanks, Artillery and Multi Launch Rocket Systems.

In this role, you will be working across complex platforms and conducting trials on Armoured Vehicles. You willhave the chance to work at the front-end of projects and see them through to delivery.

Please note, domestic travel to other UK sites will be required for the successful applicants.

**Responsibilities

**In this role, you will have the opportunity to: - Lead from the front, interface with industry and stakeholders, as the intelligent customer, both in a scrutiny role and supporting the identification and management of risks associated with procuring complex military equipment

  • Refine requirements, develop the best solutions and determine how to deliver them to the customer, utilising cuttingedge technology, to deliver world class military capability
  • Create and maintain engineering plans to enable collaborative working across the team and with stakeholders
  • Provide engineering assurance across the project lifecycle holding contractors to account, ensuring best value to the taxpayer
  • Lead on the development of requirements related to own area of specialism including acceptance plans, performance criteria and draft specifications

Person specification

  • You will hold a minimum of a Level 4 (i.e. HNC) qualification in a relevant Engineering/Science discipline, or will demonstrate the equivalent level of experience
  • Technical expertise in an engineering discipline, such as but not limited to: Mechanical, Systems, Manufacturing or Communications
  • You will demonstrate experience of providing technical advice and leading the delivery of successful engineering outcomes
