Job overview:
Salford Care Organisation has state-of-the-art Theatre facilities and combined with the fact that we are a Major Trauma Centre.
We currently have 19 theatres over 2 floors covering Neurosurgery, Spinal Surgery, Renal, Pain Service, ENT, Neuro X Ray, MR Scan, General, Upper and Lower GI, Orthopaedic and we provide a dedicated 24 hour Emergency service.
We work 24/7, due to the nature of the complexity of procedures in different speciality various shift pattern required to cover the service; there is an expectation from staff to cover the night shifts.
You should have 2 years post qualification experience, mentorship/teaching experience and have a portfolio that demonstrates a commitment to education/teaching.
There will be additional responsibilities that may be allocated by the team leaders, these will be done following discussion and completion of the trusts 'Contribution Framework' which is completed by all SRFT employees.
This is a secondment post until 31st March 2024Main duties of the job:
This is an exciting opportunity and we need a committed individual who feels they can provide leadership to improve the quality of patient care and staff experience whilst safely reducing costs.
We are looking for a team member who can demonstrate excellent communication and negotiation skills and demonstrate team working across the Trust, with a high standard of organisational skills, and the ability to work independently.
You will need to be particularly committed to the key role of educating, empowering and supporting juniors in the theatre environment showing excellent leadership and people management skills
If you feel you have the people skills and necessary qualities to become part of a forward and innovative thinking team, with ambition to deliver the best theatre service in the UK.
The main duties of the the job include:
- Ensuring safe staffing across both Recovery on a daily basis.
- Communication with bed managers and different group of staff across the Trust.
- Ensuring patients are receiving high quality post op care.
- Mentoring students and Juniors and develop action plan as required. escalate to in a timely manner.
- Management of sickness absence and provide necessary support.
