Altum Consulting is proud to be working with a Public Sector Body, helping them recruit a highly motivated and proactive Finance Manager.

This is an interesting role that will get to the core of the organisation's activities and ensure sound financial managementso the organisation can fulfil its strategic goals.

The Finance Manager will be responsible for:

Ensuring accurate and timely completion of budget monitoring, reporting exercises.
Provide stakeholders with robust information and explanations to assist them in decision making.
Supporting the provision of regular, high quality financial information and analysis
Providing financial advice and assistance to stakeholders and build and maintain effective working relationships with business areas.
Ensuring the completion and quality assurance of areas' input for the annual accounts in accordance with the corporate timetable
Ensuring that working papers provide a full audit trail and are retained and easily accessible during the audit process.

The ideal Finance Manager will:

Experience of working within a financial reporting team environment with strong financial management experience and the ability to generate, identify and interrogate financial data.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a proven ability to explain financial information clearly and concisely, influencing key stakeholders at different levels.
Enhanced analytical skills using a variety of tools including Excel to develop informed options.
Ideally be familiar with public sector accounting (desirable)
Be a qualified or partqualified accountant (ACA/CIMA/ACCA or equivalent essential)
