Description

An established family office is looking to appoint a Tax & Finance Manager into a closely-knit finance team of four people.


The position would suit someone with a CTA qualification and a background in accounting (ideally ACA qualified) who has experience working with high-net-worth individuals, either in a similar role or from a mid-tier accountancy practice.


The position will report to the Head of Finance and will have direct exposure to the family, which will involve being an active advisor across a variety of areas including finance and tax matters.


Key areas of responsibility will include:
Tax Compliance

  • Collation of information and documents to support the family's tax returns
  • Preparation of schedules to be provided to external tax advisors for their review and to facilitate their preparation of the family's tax returns
  • Consideration of tax provisioning for crystallised but unpaid liabilities.
Cash Management

  • Management of the family's offshore and onshore multicurrency cash flows and budgets including identifying surplus funds and necessity for investment redemptions.
  • Preparing and updating the cash flow summary schedules seeking updates from other employees and the principal when necessary.
  • Review of cash balances and expenditure in each currency and where forex arrangements are needed.
Entity Administration

  • Ensure the efficient operation of investment vehicles, liaising with Directors to ensure decisions are appropriately recorded and actions are appropriately executed including all tax and statutory reporting is met, including the filing of income tax, VATand annual returns.
  • Liaising with external consultants who provide investment oversight support to ensure investment details/transactions are appropriately recorded.
  • Reviewing work of the junior accountant who produces Financial and management reporting, providing coaching and guidance as appropriate/necessary.
Monthly reporting

  • Preparation of information for inclusion in the monthly reporting pack including liaison with externally managed enterprises to ensure appropriate information is provided on a timely basis.
Comp on offer is between £80,000-100,000 depending on experience with a performance based bonus and wider benefits package.
