About the role:


We have an exciting opportunity to join our Complaints team and specialise in managing complex cases involving multiple issues from various service areas.

As the Complex Case and Insurance Investigator you will primarily focus on the handling of complex cases involving customers with a multitude of issues, complaints, and the oversight of insurance claims, with a specific focus on personal injury claims and disrepair claims.

You will collaborate closely with our broker/insurers, service areas, and the legal team to ensure effective case management and resolution.


Duties include:

  • Handling complex cases that involve multiple issues originating from different service areas.
  • Conducting thorough legal research, gather evidence, and maintain comprehensive case files.
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders to devise case strategies and develop action plans.
  • Managing insurance, personal injury and disrepair claims.
  • Liaise with our broker and insurers to provide them with accurate and relevant information about the claims.
  • Evaluate and assess disrepair claims submitted by customers, determining their validity and potential liability.
  • Ensure all necessary documentation is prepared, submitted, and maintained in a timely manner.
  • Liaising with the claimant and advising them on any issues that arise.
  • Work with risk analysts, brokers and underwriters.
  • Work closely with service areas to address outstanding cases, providing guidance and assistance in resolving complex complaints.
  • Monitoring the progress of complaints and maintain clear records of all communications and actions taken.
  • Collaborate with the legal team to provide updates on insurance claims, share insights, and seek legal advice when required.
  • Assist in preparing legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Stay current with legal developments and industry trends related to insurance claims and personal injury law.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategies and decisions.
  • Maintain clear and open communication with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, insurers, and service areas.
  • Prepare regular reports on case progress and share updates with relevant parties.

About you

  • Proven experience in managing complex cases and insurance claims, particularly in personal injury and disrepair claims.
  • Strong knowledge of legal principles, procedures, and terminology.
  • Excellent organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in legal research, document drafting, and case management software.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problemsolving skills and the ability to handle highpressure situations.
  • Decisive and able to work at a fastpaced environment.
  • Have a natural customer focus, a cando attitude and is a champion for the customer.
  • Good understanding of Microsoft office products.
  • Excellent written and analytical skills, with the ability to pull together a range of information to tell a clear story.
  • Great interpersonal skills, and the ability to develop relationships with others.
