An exciting post has arisen as part of the Uni Connect Programme, an Office for Students (OfS) funded project, which aims to increase the number of young people from targeted wards entering higher education.

The North East Uni Connect Programme (NEUCP) involves all colleges and universities in the North East region working together to promote higher education opportunities through a sustained programme of interventions called FutureMe.


Based within the University of Sunderland, the post holder will have a role in developing, co-ordinating and delivering a programme to support attainment raising, and a student engagement programme of higher education outreach activities in target schools/sixth forms called FutureMe.

Activities may take place both virtually and in-person.


The successful post-holder will be required to travel across the region on occasion and will be required to receive an Enhanced Disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).

Weekend and evening work along with the ability to work flexible hours are a key feature of this role.

Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service clearance is required in order to carry out the role.

The role requires frequent regional travel and occasional national travel. A full driving licence and access to a vehicle is required.
