Position Overview:
The OISC Advisor Level 1 position plays a critical role in providing immigration advice and assistance to clients within the regulatory framework set by the Office of the Immigration Services Commissioner (OISC).
As a Level 1 advisor, you will primarily handle straightforward immigration cases and provide initial advice and assistance to clients, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:

Legal Compliance: Stay abreast of changes in immigration law, policy, and procedures, ensuring compliance with OISC regulations and ethical standards in all client interactions.

Client Communication: Maintain regular communication with clients, keeping them informed of the progress of their cases, responding to inquiries promptly, and providing updates on any relevant changes or requirements.

Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, case notes, and documentation in accordance with data protection and confidentiality policies.

Professional Development: Continuously develop knowledge and skills in immigration law and procedures through training, professional development opportunities, and keeping abreast of industry updates.

Team Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with colleagues, sharing knowledge and best practices, and providing support and assistance as needed to ensure the smooth operation of the advisory team.
Qualifications and Skills:

OISC Accreditation: Hold a valid Level 1 accreditation from the Office of the Immigration Services Commissioner (OISC), demonstrating proficiency in providing immigration advice and assistance.

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely to clients from diverse backgrounds.

Client Service Orientation:Strong commitment to providing high-quality client service, with empathy, professionalism, and sensitivity to clients' needs and circumstances.

Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in preparing and reviewing documentation, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and quality standards.

Organisational Skills: Effective time management and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and manage a caseload efficiently.

Ethical Conduct: Demonstrated integrity, honesty, and ethical conduct in all professional interactions, maintaining client confidentiality and upholding professional standards of practice.
Additional Information:
- This position may require occasional travel for client meetings or training purposes.
- Fluency in additional languages, particularly those commonly spoken by immigrant communities, may be advantageous.
