The role
As a Driver Handler, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary.

Day to day you will also assist in the ground movement of aircraft and be a key part in our flight-line operations, as well as:

Undertaking any driving duties as required by the contract, fuel bowser driving on shift to support flying operations.
Daily/ weekly and any other maintenance and checks required to ensure vehicle safety and compliance to support flying operations, control all vehicle related administration within Babcock guidelines, and ensure all personal licences, medicals and competencies are maintained.
You will also assist in the ground movement of aircraft and be a key part in our flightline operations.
You'll be preparing aircraft for the upcoming days flying, conducting seein and seeoff procedures as well as being authorised to carry out fuel and oil replenishment on the aircraft.
Once authorised you'll also be undertaking daily maintenance checks on the company owned aircraft, carrying out preuse checks and be responsible for minor scheduled maintenance (A Check) on company owned Ground Support Equipment (GSE).

Essential experience of the Driver Handler:

Clean driving licence.
Working knowledge of DVSA.
Working knowledge of transport & driver legal requirements
Ability to demonstrate practical and theoretical standards requirements.
Ability to demonstrate practical and theoretical standards required.
Meet eye colour vision of CP2/CP3 for airfield airside operations.

This role is full time and based onsite at RAF Cranwell, however on occasion, we may ask you to deploy temporarily to other sites or support detachments at other operating locations

Qualifications for the Driver Handler:

PSV and or LGV Qualified.
