PRODUCTION SECTION LEADER

NOTTINGHAM


Our Nottingham client are looking for an experienced Production Section Leader to join their well established team on a permanent basis.

You will be working at a state of the art facility with a client who have recently invested heavily in new machinery and boast an impressive list of clients.


Production Section Leader - The Vacancy:

  • Ensure all products are completed and delivered to the customer on time by following the manufacturing strategy.
  • Ensure you have enough team members to complete your work by monitoring holidays for your team.
  • Ensure high standard products by driving a "quality culture" within your teams and resolving any quality issues.
  • Make sure your team reach their targets by communicating, monitoring and collating KPI's and monitoring staff performance.
  • Maintain defined standards of product quality compliance.
  • Develop your team by being a mentor to them.
  • Ensure your team members are trained by identifying and arranging training and keeping an effective skills matrix.
  • Identify improvements.
  • Ensure effective inductions, complete probation reviews, appraisals and if necessary apprentice reviews are completed.
  • Reduce absence by following the absence process, completing return to works for your team and escalating to the Manufacturing Manager if necessary.
  • Experience within a similar position
  • Electronics qualification desirable
  • Must have strong Leadership and influencing skills to help drive improvement and growth.
  • Be a clear and effective communicator.
  • Strong Organisational skills.
  • Good Problem Solving abilities.
This position is commutable from Nottingham, Derby and Long Eaton
