Hackney's Edge of Care Service works to support more adolescents to remain living with their parents or primary caregivers, wherever it is safe for them to do so, by delivering specialist, intensive support at points of relational crisis.
It is a secondary service and so works closely with case holding practitioners from other services within Hackney Children and Families Services, as well as partner agencies.
The team has a strong focus on practice that is systemic, trauma-informed and anti-racist. It's underpinned by a commitment to empower families by building on their strengths.Dynamic, innovative, committed and passionate, as an Edge of Care practitioner you'll bring a comprehensive knowledge and skill-base to the challenge of working with vulnerable children and families.
Hackney Children and Families Service seeks to actively contribute to organisational learning through recognising, promoting and supporting best practice and service development where required, retaining a clear focus upon positive outcomes for children and families across the borough.

You must have a qualification at degree level or equivalent, and substantial experience in a relevant social care field, including social work, probation or youth work, plus evidence of continuing professional development.
