Central Birmingham Spring (CBS) is a family run business based in Cradley Heath, Waterfall Lane Trading Estate.

Due to the expansion of the company, we are currently searching for someone to cover the position of Stores person / Driver, a split role with approx.

50% time within each role. The employee will be responsible for receiving, unloading and stocking the material.

The role is fundamental foer both the beginning and the end of the production process, with finished goods being inspected, packed and then delivered.

For this role a confident and purposeful behaviour it is required, in order to be complaint with our vision of becoming a leading UK manufacturer of springs and pressings by creating a great company and a great place to work.

The employee will be expected to learn all production aspects of the business and highlight areas of improvement to the business to increase quality and efficiency.

The day shift is 7am to 4pm or 8am to 5pm Monday to Thursday (depending on the needs of the employee), and 7am to 1pm on Friday.

The skills required are:

Timekeeping
Excellent timekeeping is required for the business needs

Planning

Ability to process instructions and check paperwork is issued correctly

Communication Skills

Good manner with customers and employees, with clear verbal and written communications in English
Full driving license is necessary for this role and current or previous FLT experience a bonus

The key accountabilities are:

To develop and maintain relationships with staff and ensure a happy healthy environment
To collaborate with colleagues to get the best use of machinery and maintain delivery targets
To ensure the stores and vehicles are left clean and equipment is kept stocked up.
Assist with development of all by passing on skills
Ensure that all paperwork is issued correctly in a timely manner.
