Our client, a leading set of Barristers Chambers (law firm), based in
Holborn area _(closest tubes Chancery Lane/Farringdon)_ are urgently seeking
Hospitality/Reception/Conference Assistant to join their team.

Do you have Hospitality, Facilities & Reception experience? Or an experienced Housekeeper?

Are you available to start with immediate effect?


This is a 6 month maternity contract, Monday to Friday 09.30am - 6.30pm.

Overview of role:_

  • Prepare refreshments for conferences and meetings
  • Clean and reset conference rooms after each meeting, replenishing crockery, glasses and food and drink supplies
  • Make sure each conference room is reset for the following day
  • Assist Facilities Manager with hot/cold food requirements for lunches afternoon teas buffets and any other conferences/meetings requiring hot or cold food
  • Ensuring the conference rooms are kept to a high standard
  • Distribute milk when delivered to each floor
  • Replenish and tidy stationery cupboards on a regular basis, keeping stationery areas clean and tidy
  • Water plants in members rooms which have plants
  • Buy or collect lunches for meetings/conferences when required

Facilities side:_

  • Monitor cleanliness, maintenance and overall appearance of Chambers, noting broken, faulty equipment and areas of wear and tear.
  • Monitor stock levels and cleanliness in all Chambers kitchens and bathrooms and restock as required.
  • Petty Cash
  • Inform the facilities manager when stationery supplies are running low
  • Carry out regular toilet checks throughout the day making sure they are kept clean and tidy, especially the client toilets on the ground floor

Reception responsibilities:_

  • Provide reception cover when the receptionist goes on her lunch hour, some afternoon cover and when the receptionist is on leave.


You must be able to stay calm, be professionally presentable at all times, reliable and have some experience within hospitality, catering or conference/ office admin.


Must be able to start mid February 2024.
