Description

The post holder will have developed knowledge and experience in Cellular Pathology and also have Health Professions Council (HCPC) State Registration.


  • Experience working in a Cellular Pathology Department
  • Good technical knowledge

  • The necessary experience to undertake the challenging role


The main duties of the role will be small tissue dissection, this will be extended to small non complex tissue dissection upon completion of the Specialist portfolio.


Tissue embedding and microtomy, IHC and Special stains using both automated and manual techniques and contributing to all internal QC including digital Pathology.

Training of more Junior staff in lab techniques will also be part of the role.

Working late and early shift and providing Sunday cover on a rotational basis.
