Summary


The Headteacher and Governing Body of Lever House Primary School wish to appoint a Teaching Learning and Communication Support Worker (TA Level 3) to join our dedicated team to support one of our pupils.

As this is a role specific to a particular need, term of employment will be for 6 years, or while the pupil is on roll at our school.


We are looking for someone who:

  • Has real passion for working with children
  • Has an understanding of age related expectations across the primary age range, or a commitment to gain this
  • Is passionate about developing exciting learning experiences for children
  • Has a thirst for developing their own learning and understanding
  • Has excellent interpersonal skills and values working as a key member of a team
  • Is totally inclusive in approach
  • Has the ability to use mobile technologies such as iPads
  • Work alongside the class teacher to adapt activities to provide a multi sensory approach
  • Hold the qualification BSL (L2/L3) and use BSL SSE to mediate and scaffold learning during whole class teaching to ensure motivations and engagement.
  • Will liaise and collaborate with the Teacher of the Deaf and Speech & Language Therapists to gain advice on the best teaching strategies and techniques to support children
  • Knows or will learn basic technical knowledge of a cochlear implant system
