R&D Technical Report Manager - £35,000 - Harold Wood, Essex/ Hybrid-working

The Role

Do you hold a recognised science or technology based Postgraduate degree coupled with previous experience of R&D in a relevant science or technology sector? If so, we are looking for you.

This is a great opportunity to join a dynamic fast-growing company with many years of experience, in-depth knowledge and strong professional ethics, operating in the R&D Tax Credits services sector.

With our rapidly expanding portfolio of clients, we are looking for an experienced R&D Technical Report Manager to lead and manage our team of report writers and submission of technical reports to HMRC in support of R&D claims.

The role is exciting, rewarding, hybrid working and permanent.

Key Responsibilities:

The key responsibilities of a R&D Technical Report Manager include, but are not limited to:

Managing the submission of technical reports to HMRC in support of R&D claims.
Working towards deadlines and KPI's.
Assisting in the identification of Qualifying R&D projects, through liaison with clients, consultants and/or Analyst.
Managing the team of report writers to ensure deadlines are met for submission.
Writing reports if required.
Reviewing, editing, and signing off all reports prior to submission.
Ensuring compliance to R&D scheme and HMRC guidelines.
Ensuring R&D reports and R&D expenditure meet the requirements of relevant tax legislation and guidelines.
Training and educating colleagues where required.

The Benefits

Basic salary £25k + generous commission £60k OTE.
End of year bonus based on performance.

The Person
The key skills and qualities of a R&D Technical Report Manager are:

Knowledge of UK R&D tax relief schemes.
Knowledge or experience in the preparation of R&D claims.
Science, Technology or Engineering background or have the ability to think from a technical perspective.
Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) with the ability to translate complex ideas into easytounderstand concepts.
Project management skills and working to deadlines.
Leadership and management skills.
Energetic, articulate and well presented.
Team player and ability to work on own initiative.
Ability to demonstrate a high level of commercial awareness.
