We're looking for a proactive and enthusiastic HR Apprentice to join our HR team.

At First Actuarial, our job is to give trustees and employers the right pensions advice and we're all about working with them to help employees to save enough money to retire on.

You'll learn about the role of the HR function and develop all the skills you need to be an effective HR Administrator.

This role will initially be on a fixed term apprenticeship contract of 16 to 20 months.

Skills and experience

  • Friendly, polite, and confidential manner.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proactive approach.
  • Outstanding time management and organisational skills.
  • Able to use own initiative but also able to follow instructions accurately.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent team player.
  • Alevels (or equivalent) are essential, as well as good GCSE's (or equivalent) including English and Maths.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications
  • Desire to develop in an HR role.
  • Desire to study toward the Level 3 CIPD Foundation Certificate in People Practice as part of your apprenticeship. (Level 3 HR Support Apprenticeship)

Duties

  • Maintain employee records by updating and entering data.
  • Support and coordinate the recruitment and onboarding process.
  • Manage the leave process.
  • Monitor our HR inbox and with support, answer employee questions regarding HR policies.
  • Support H&S administration.
  • Support HR projects.

Job Types:
Full-time, Fixed term contract, Apprenticeship

Contract length: 16 months


Pay:
£22,000.00-£23,500.00 per year


Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
