About the role:


We are looking for a key team member to join our 7 day a week operation as a Logistics Planner to ensure our customer's vehicles are delivered on time and to the highest possible standard.

This role is important within the business as it will involve regular interaction with key customers and employees.

We are seeking an intelligent, quick thinking and organised individual with a strong commercially minded outlook to take a key role within the business.


You will report to the operations manager and work with the team to develop and grow the company's business processes and customer relationships through effective management and delivery KPI's.

You will need to have a strong, forward-thinking character.


Full training will be provided for those with a positive attitude who want to progress their career to the next level.


Main duties:


  • Ensure customer service levels are maintained.
  • Ensure the fleet is operated in the most cost effective and profitable way.
  • Organise and control the delivery of company orders via the transporter fleet.
  • Build and maintain relationships with customers, drivers & subcontractors.
  • Handle customer enquiries regarding deliveries.
  • Plan available resources to ensure customer KPI's are regularly achieved.
  • Ensure efficiencies and profitability of the fleet through dynamic planning and communication.

Schedule:


The shift is a rolling 4 days on followed by 4 days off shift, which involves working one or two days per weekend as the shift progresses.

You are expected to work 4 x 12 hour shifts when you are on duty


Salary:
£24,000.00 per year
