    This is an exciting opportunity for two whole time equivalent Consultant Dermatologists to join the established and innovative Dermatology team at Chelsea and Westminster NHS Foundation Trust. We are looking to appoint two enthusiastic and forward-thinking Dermatologists to join an evolving dynamic department. The posts can be considered as full time or part time positions and the postholders will be expected to work across both the hospital sites, Chelsea and Westminster Hospital and West Middlesex Hospital.

    The appointees will be required to offer the appropriate level of skills in general Dermatology whilst expertise in a sub-specialist areas would also be desirable.

    Applicants must possess MRCP or equivalent, be fully registered with the GMC and hold a licence to practice. Applicants must have entry on the GMC Specialist Register for Dermatology via CCT (proposed CCT date must be within 6 months of the interview date).

    Main duties of the job

    The department provides a full clinical dermatology service for nearly one million people locally, regionally and nationally providing general as well as highly specialist MDT services. The service has also developed an award winning and innovative Teledermatology service which it continues to grow and develop.

    The post holder will work closely with the existing consultant team to provide a wide range of dermatology services in partnership with primary care colleagues. The successful candidate will share the day-to-day management of the department with the existing clinicians.

    Job responsibilities

    1.1 The post holder must adhere to the standards outlined by the GMC for Good Medical Practice.

    1.2 Develop and maintain the competencies required to carry out the duties required of the post specifically development of the departments Patch Testing specialist service and TENs service. This can be achieved via CPD and supported by Study Leave

    1.3 Ensure prompt attendance at agreed direct clinical care Programmed Activities.

    1.4 Ensure patients are involved in decisions about their care and to respond to their views.

    1.5 Demonstrate, model and encourage Trust Values at all times to all patients and staff.
