    JOB TITLE:
    Head of Health and Safety


    DEPARTMENT:
    Legal, Safeguarding and Health & Safety


    JOB FUNCTION:

    Deliver a world class support service which informs, enables and advises all teams across the business to help the Club achieve its objectives.


    LOCATION:
    Stamford Bridge with regular travel to Cobham, Kingsmeadow and Camberley


    CONTRACT:
    Permanent, Full Time
    PLAY YOUR PART (Main Responsibilities):

    • Deliver a 'best in class' risk, safety and compliance culture across all CFC sites.
    • Set standards and clear levels of expectations in all areas of health, safety and compliance.
    • Build and maintain a structured network across the Premier League
    • Set a vision and strategy for the management and continual improvement of H&S across the business
    • Assess and evaluate against metrics to measure progress and successes and recognise and address any shortcomings
    • Ensure accidents, incidents and near misses are investigated, reported and reviewed, making recommendations where appropriate and ensuring any statutory reports (RIDDOR) are completed.
    • Create quarterly reports on all H&S matters to be discussed in the Audit and Risk Committee.
    • Be proactive in your approach and provide prompt and balanced advice and support
    • Manage a regular assurance and audit programme across the business to ensure H&S compliance at all levels
    • Maintain good and effective working relationships across the Club and ensure lines of communication are clear and open
    • Lead the health and safety team in wellbeing matters.
    • Play an active role within the Wellbeing Working Group.
    • Lead on stress risk assessments and how to manage stress in the workplace.
    • Ensure the Club remains compliant and up to date on all relevant Health and Safety Legislation
    • Lead and present on the health and safety risk register
    • Maintain good working relationships with third party suppliers
    • Manage and appropriately disseminate the H&S budget
    • Attend regular meetings with the Club's Insurance Brokers as required.

    • To report any misconduct or suspected misconduct to the HR Department

    Qualifications:

    • NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent
    • Chartered membership of IOSH or other Occupational Health and Safety Professional Body.

    Experience:

    • At least five years' experience in a comparable organisation.
    • Experience leading and mentoring a small team
    • Experience in managing and overseeing contractors
