Are you a passionate, dedicated Children and Families Practitioner looking for your next role? 4Recruitment Services are recruiting a Children and Families Practitioner to join a Children's Services team based in a Children's Centre in Birmingham.

You will be required to provide support to children, young people and families by delivering interventions which enable positive and agreed outcomes.


Umbrella Rate:
£14.82 per hour

Duration: 26/02/ months initially


Hours:
Monday - Thursday, 9am - 4.30pm, 30 hrs/week

Children and Families Practitioner role:
Full JD Available

  • Provide a high quality service to children, young people and their families, based on an assessment of need and is outcomes driven
  • Identify and assess individual and family needs
  • Deliver interventions on a 1:1 basis or in a group setting, with appropriate direction
  • Be alert to child protection and safeguarding issues and inform appropriate line managers of concernsAchieve the highest standards of safeguarding, whether through direct care provision or support activities to the children and young people who come into contact with our services, or by appropriately reporting concerns about any child or young person
  • Develop strong, trusting working relationships
  • Be responsible for organising achievement of work objectives on a daily basis, including both pre and forward planning
  • Undertake such other duties that occasionally arise, which will always ensure that children across the country have a safe and happy childhood
  • Guide, direct or line manage staff and volunteers where necessary
  • Attend and actively participate in relevant multiagency meetings
  • Ensure the child's feelings and wishes are represented in meetings and record keeping
  • Keep and maintain up to date records, produce written reports and present these as necessary
Essential Requirements

  • Level 3 in Childcare and Education or equivalent
  • Experience of working with children and families in a social care setting
  • Ability to identify and assess individual and family needs
  • Experience on delivering interventions
  • An awareness and an ability to identify and act upon safeguarding concerns with clients and to follow agreed reporting procedures
  • Experience of preparing, organising, reviewing and delivering individual and or group work
  • Experience of preparing clear and concise file notes and inputting information into office systems
  • Must already have an Enhanced Child and Adult DBS registered to the update service
