Financial Controller


Continuously highly profitable, innovative and resilient, our client is a £30m Private Equity backed, market leading, international process manufacturing business based in County Durham.

It requires a Financial Controller further to the promotion of itsincumbent from this role.


Focussed on customers, operational productivity, efficiency and sustainability initiatives you will play a key role as part of the management team in delivering further performance advances and maximising potential.

Your responsibilities as Financial Controller will include:_

  • Leading all financial and management accounting for the site
  • Managing a small team
  • Reporting and analysis of performance
  • Maintaining, reviewing and improving internal financial controls
  • Planning, budgeting, forecasting, working capital management and supporting sound decision making
  • Supporting the coordination, integration and consolidation of the business with Group
  • Statutory reporting and returns, including audit liaison
  • Keeping good banking relations
  • Treasury and credit management

As Financial Controller you'll need:_

  • Strong commercial and technical experience as a Financial Controller, Finance Manager, Senior Management Accountant or similar, ideally gained in manufacturing
  • Relevant qualification such as ACMA, ACCA or ACA
  • ERP and financial reporting systems experience, including advanced Excel
  • Proactive and positive with excellent interpersonal skills

_Benefits and rewards:

  • Salary of c.£50,000 to £55,000 + bonus to 15% + generous benefits
  • To secure maximum pay/rewards, you must possess _all _outlined experience, skills, knowledge and qualifications
  • Full time, permanent role
  • Site based with some flexibility to work from home
