    Job Summary

    We are hiring an Enhanced Practice Nurse under the ARRS Scheme at The Bellingham Practice in rural Northumberland for 16 hours a week (2 days). Join our team to provide enhanced clinical care as an autonomous practitioner, demonstrating critical thinking and decision-making skills. You will be responsible for patient care from history taking to treatment. Additionally, you will contribute to education, training, and modernizing care pathways.

    Main Duties of the Job

    • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team within the PCN.
    • Consult with patients and the team to assess patient needs and develop care plans.
    • Evaluate clinical problems, apply relevant evidence, and manage complex interventions.
    • Deliver enhanced clinical care in evolving environments.
    • Teach patients and families to manage conditions and participate in audits and research projects.
    • Recognize practice boundaries for patient referrals.
    • Delegate tasks within the team and ensure team performance.

    Job Responsibilities

    Reports to: Practice Manager/PCN Business Manager

    Responsible to: Practice Manager

    Proposed Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum (pro rata)

    Hours of Work: 16 hours a week

    Base: The Bellingham Practice

    Collaborate with stakeholders to develop care pathways, policies, and protocols. Contribute to patient support initiatives and local policy improvements.

    Experience

    Essential

    • Manage chronic conditions and implement clinical guidelines.
    • Lead quality initiatives and possess General Practice skills.
    • Communication and teamwork skills, ability to prioritize workload.
    • Handle primary care workload and support the team.

    Desirable

    • Participate in quality initiatives and community development.
    • Hold qualifications in nursing with relevant postgraduate study.
    • Prescribing qualifications and completion of diversity training.
