Drainage Mapping Assistant

Green Spark Environmental is an expanding national drainage services company. We specialise in bespoke pollution prevention, drainage and environmental services with blue chip, multi-site organisations, particularly contract logistics, warehousing, and through FM providers. We fix, audit, report, recommend and manage works to support our client's operations and compliance.

The primary responsibility of the role is to support as part of the field team in assessing, surveying and route mapping drainage systems across various commercial sites in the UK.

Your work will directly contribute to assisting our customers in their efficient wastewater management and protection of the environment.

You will work alongside or collaborate with other field-based colleagues, environmental consultants, and other technicians to collect, analyse, and record accurate drainage route data.

It involves reviewing any exiting plans or maps, taking measurements, lifting manhole covers to prove routes and plotting the outcomes.

You'll support and collate field work information and work towards being able to transfer the data to a digital deliverable plan suitable for issue to the client.

It requires a high level of accuracy and diligence in measurement and surveying of various commercial sites across the UK

You will be part of the field-based team and at times be required to undertake the duties of a multiskilled technician.

This will include tasks such as using water jetting equipment, using CCTV equipment, clearing blockages, clean-up of spills, aco cleaning, interceptor servicing and inspections, and any other work as required.

You'll be required to drive and operate any company vehicles and equipment for which you are suitably qualified.

You will work cross-functionally as part of the Green Spark team with an expectation to take on work outside of your core remit to develop, support and strengthen Green Spark to deliver profitable growth.

The nature of the work means that this role requires physical fitness, and a willingness to work outdoors for most of the time.

A flexible approach to working hours is needed.

You will need to work as part of the whole drainage field team and at times this may require taking part in the on-call rota for evenings and weekends.

Some of the work may also need to be completed out of core working hours or overnight on some sites.
