An exciting opportunity has been created at Ford Aerospace to work within our Human Resources department as an HR Administrator.

Based on the Port of Tyne site in South Shields, Ford Aerospace is within close distance to public transport links.

The HR Administrator will be responsible for providing a comprehensive administrative support to the business in compliance with GDPR.

The HR Administrator will assist in day-to-day HR related tasks to include maintaining accurate employee records, preparing HR reports and documentation, and ensuring queries are dealt with in a timely, professional manner.

Reporting into the HR Manager, the HR Administrator will be responsible for:

  • Maintain accurate and up to date employment records including personnel files and HR / Payroll systems
  • Provide advice on noncomplex HR queries with support from the HR Manager
  • Safeguard employee data through compliance with GDPR
  • Assist with recruitment, advertising vacancies and updating shortlisting forms, liaising with hiring managers
  • Review and process all New Starter information, ensuring forms are completed correctly and liaise with Payroll to provide required information
  • Assist with the Ford Academy Apprentice Programme and liaise with various stakeholders
  • Manage the probationary period process producing probation reports, advising managers of probation status, ensuring the return of paperwork, and issuing letters
  • Assist with our Better Health at Work Award / Wellbeing Committee including organising fundraising events and implementing wellbeing initiatives
  • Monitor and track appraisal dates, advising Team Leaders and Managers and processing the completed paperwork
  • Conduct weekly reviews of absences to analyse patterns / trends to support stable absence levels
  • Update the display screen as and when required, with relevant, up to date HR information
  • Produce a monthly report detailing employee length of service and birthdays
  • Monitor the HR / Careers inbox
  • Update Kelio / Sage HR with relevant employee information
  • Communicate effectively at all levels in the organisation
  • Create / update electronic and hardcopy personnel files for every employee and maintain files for leavers
  • Coordinate social events including arranging transport and organising bookings
  • General administration duties to include scanning / photocopying documents, creating and issuing letters, producing HR reports, filing and taking minutes of meetings where required
  • Undertake relevant HR training, as and when required
  • Actively stay up to date with relevant Employment Law changes to expand HR knowledge, supported by the HR Manager

  • CIPD / Business Admin Qualification
