Summary of role:


Utilise live feed systems, planning for disruption, monitoring changing airline schedules, whilst being responsible for coordinating and monitoring the safe deployment of employees, vehicles, and equipment for the Assistance programme at Gatwick Airport, ensuring customer requirements are made in accordance with contractual and service level agreements.


Main Duties:

  • Using the computerised systems available you will constantly monitor the movement of customer aircraft and consider the requirements of every customer against the operational needs
  • Maintain & practice high level of customer service at all times
  • You must ensure you are up to date with operational changes after periods away from work and remain current for airside pass requirements.
  • Familiar with the entire operation and Ozion for NT/ST and Ramp.
  • Ability to proactively have an overview of the operation 2/3 hours in advance & identify any operational concerns.
  • Proactively advise 3rd party companies of any business disruption, i.e. peak periods.

Job Requirements:

  • Previous Airline &/or Airport experience is desired although not essential as full training will be provided.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Must be able to lift passengers in confined spaces, lift luggage in accordance with manual handling guidelines and able to place hand luggage into and out or overhead lockers without standing on seats.
  • Will be required to push customers up inclines and for long distances in wheelchairs
  • Demonstrate excellent customer service
  • Basic IT Skills
  • Demonstrate the ability to think and act quickly in emergencies or under pressure;
  • Have an ability to deliver clear verbal and written reports where necessary c
  • Able to demonstrate an ability to work as part of a team
  • Able to deal calmly and confidently with all demands from the public
