Role


We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Gardener, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the appearance of our planted areas, ensuring they are weed-free, well maintained and visually appealing.

This physical role is crucial in creating a welcoming and attractive environment for our valued customers and employees.


During the winter season when the maintenance of bordered is less demanding, there will be a range of handy jobs available for you to assist with around the premisses.

All necessary equipment will be provided.


This is a part-time position working 8 hours a week, this could be a full day or split into two half days.

There is also the potential for additional hours. The starting hourly rate for this position is £12.50.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform regular maintenance tasks, including weeding, pruning and trimming shrubs and bushes
  • Ensure all planted areas are well maintained, lean and free from debris
  • Monitor the health and condition of plants, identifying any issues and taking appropriate action
  • Grass and hedge cutting when required
  • Assist in planning and implementation of new planting projects
  • Operate and maintain gardening equipment and tools in a safe and efficient manner

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in gardening and plant care, preferably in a similar role
  • Knowledge of different plant species and specific care requirement
  • Familiarity with gardening equipment tools and the ability to operate them safely
  • Physical fitness to perform manual tasks and work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Good communications skills
