Our projects team based in Southampton are currently looking to recruit Skilled Operatives to work on our Civil Engineering contracts in the Southern Counties.


As a Skilled Operative, you will be part of our Projects who are responsible for undertaking a range of Civils schemes.

Our projects include highway construction, drainage, flood prevention, structural concrete, bridges, retaining structures.


As a Skilled Operative your duties & responsibilities will be:

  • Working to the highest standards of Health and Safety
  • Producing work to a high quality
  • Operating construction plant and equipment
  • Excavations
  • Drainage
  • Kerb laying
  • Hard landscaping
  • Basic Formwork and steel fixing
  • Placing and finishing concrete

Essential Skills

  • CSCS qualification
  • Highways Civils Experience
  • Driving Licence (no endorsements)
  • New Roads and Streetworks (NRSWA) Operative accreditation
  • A range of CITB or NPORS plant certification (Excavators, dumpers, rollers, etc.)


  • Drainage

  • Excavation, installation and testing
  • Kerb laying
  • Structural concreting
  • Trowel skills
