A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a community based Social Care Officer to join the 'Friends Unlimited Network' team within Perth and Kinross Councils Learning Disability services.

The Friends Unlimited Network primarily operates during the evenings and weekends, providing individuals with a learning disability over the age of 16 the opportunity to access their community and build meaningful social connections with their peers.

Based within the Kinnoull Community Day Opportunities team you will be responsible for planning and facilitating group activities for individuals by creating a monthly calendar of events.

These groups and activities will support individuals to maintain their personal interests whilst building social networks in the community.

The hours of this post are flexible, and you will be responsible for managing your own time each week to cover the planning and facilitation of activities.

This will be a mix of daytime working to plan and prepare for activities (Can be office based or home working), and in person facilitation of activities during the evenings and weekends.
