PURPOSE OF THE JOB


Reporting to the Chief Executive and working with the Senior Management Team, to lead the development and implementation of the Aspire Growth and Development Strategy.

To support Aspire to achieve its strategic growth and diversification targets.

To work with colleagues to develop new services and opportunities for Aspire across Leeds and

West Yorkshire.

To promote Aspire externally to the wider world (e.g. other people with disabilities, carers,

partners and providers, Local Authority & Health commissioners and self-funders.)

Raising the profile of Aspire and our work and representing us at external networks in order to

further develop productive external relationships.

To support the organisation to expand delivery of our services as part of an integrated offer,

working closely with operational teams and our customer involvement teams to achieve this

aligned to our current provision and organisational vision and values.


RESPONSIBILITIES
To support existing teams/services to ensure continued quality provision.


To work with the Chief Executive and Senior Operational teams, to secure new and diverse income for existing services and to develop new services aligned to our strategic plan.

To understand current delivery, demands and gaps in provision.


To liaise effectively with a wide range of internal colleagues and external partnerships, to identify new relevant opportunities and establish a pipeline of projects and activities.


To promote our current offers to a wider variety of partners and commissioners and build new partnerships to increase our profile across an agreed portfolio of business priorities.


To work with our existing portfolio of 3rd sector funded partners to manage quality monitoring and funding returns and to establish a network of meetings to ensure we are working collaboratively for the ultimate benefit of the customers we support.

To have a creative approach to securing income for services to ensure continuity of experienced and skilled staff.

Develop a new fundraising strategy in conjunction with the CEO that support our aims and objectives.


To be proactive in developing new opportunities and to work with Aspire colleagues to source new opportunities for supporting more people with learning disabilities in new and creative ways, across Leeds and West Yorkshire.

This will involve work with existingArea Operational teams to support service redesigns and change management project work, as well as new offers to commissioners and wider partners traditionally linked to social care.


Identify opportunities at local level to highlight Aspire's work to a variety of potential partners, including customers with learning disabilities, their families / carers, and local commissioners & funding partners.


To link with forums and attend events and meetings as relevant to represent the organisation and enable Aspire to support more people and develop new partnerships to help the people and communities of Leeds with learning disabilities live better and moreindependent lives.


To project manage the setup of new pieces of work, working with the Area and Service Managers to manage capacity, timeframes and operational set up of these services.

Liaise effectively with a wide range of internal staff and external partners, in the developmentof new services and opportunities.


To contribute in planning meetings of new service development work, to ensure that the needs and wishes of all parties are factored into the new service planning and that services are designed in pursuit of outcomes for individuals.


To work with the Chief Executive in developing business cases and proposals which will diversify our local and regional offer in line with our strategic priorities.


To lead on bid management and resource planning across the organisation, including taking the lead in planning and managing resources for the successful completion of any tenders, EOIs and bids across Aspire.


To manage bids due, planning and managing timescales and project managing the completion of bids to ensure high quality submissions in a timely manner.

To work with our Communications and Marketing team to effectively share good practice in completing tenders and bids.


To work with the Chief Executive and SLT to agree key priorities for tendering/ business proposals to ensure capacity and resources are in place deployed effectively.


To lead on presentations for new opportunities, promoting the work of Aspire in tender interviews, at external meetings and events.


To ensure registration on relevant portals and sites to identify opportunities from commissioners or partners such as Pro Contract, DWP, Health portals etc.


To undertake any other relevant aspects of operational service set up or strategic activity as agreed with the Chief Executive.
