This post supports the implementation of the Plus Project, a $34m Unitaid grant to support countries to implement Perennial Malaria Chemoprevention (PMC).

The prime recipient is Population Services International who have subcontracted the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine to evaluate the implementation (grant total $12m).

Implementation is occurring in Benin, Cameroon, Côte d'Ivoire and Mozambique with additional work in DRC, Ghana and Zambia.

This post in particular will focus on supporting our research partners I Côte d'Ivoire to meet research objectives for the project.


The purpose of the post will be to provide technical research assistance across the research teams for the LSHTM Plus Project to meet the aim of undertaking robust and high-quality research that will ultimately inform national implementation strategies for PMC.

In collaboration with co-Investigators at LSHTM, Institut National de Santé Publique (INSP) and additional partners, the post-holder will support the day-to-day implementation of the research activities and, in the generation and analysis of data, including for publication and public dissemination.

The post is fixed term of up to 12 months and full-time 35 hours per week, 1.0 FTE. The post is funded by Unitaid and is available immediately until June 2024.

The salary will be on the Academic scale, Grade 5 scale in the range £37,531 - £42,875 per annum (inclusive of London Weighting).
