We are looking for a creative, curious communications person who is as comfortable in planning as they are in delivery and evaluation to join our team as a Communications Officer.
The role is a fast-paced and challenging one, working in a creative and supportive communications team at one of the five biggest NHS Trusts in the country.
The communications & engagement department also has a specialist medical illustration team that provide design and photography services to our many clinical areas, and a patient and community engagement team comprising our PPI/membership manager and assistant.
Together we are responsible for the Patient and Public Involvement (PPI) agenda, along with the management of the Trust's patient partners and public members.

Taking on planning, delivery and coordination responsibilities for a wide range of communications you will help to translate creative ideas, team spirit and small budgets into effective communications with measurable results - helping us to become a better employer and a better place to receive care.
Working closely with the Head of Communications, you will find the stories that matter to our audiences and tell them in ways that people will hear.
You will advocate for colleagues and patients by listening to people's experiences and sharing those experiences with the right people to help shape change.
And you will be supporting the delivery of internal and external communication campaigns in public health, excellence in healthcare, recruitment and organisational culture.
The communications team has a vital role in the delivery of Leicester's Hospitals ambition to deliver Caring at its Best for every patient, every time.
To do this we tell the stories of our patients and our colleagues and use their insight and knowledge to improve the use of NHS services and the health of the public.
