We are currently looking for a positive, pragmatic and motivated individual to join our sales team based at our exciting retirement living village Mickle Hill, Pickering, North Yorkshire.

The role will focus on actively promoting the sale of these beautiful homes by effectively managing the whole sales process and being an integral part of the village operational team.


The post holder must be able to use their knowledge and experience to handle the sales process in a straightforward and professional manner, and be able to build relationships with customers to support them throughout, offering advice and guidance where and when they need it.


Whilst you report directly to the Sales and Marketing Director, and are fully supported by them in your role, you will be able to work with mínimal supervision and adhere to the high quality compliance standards we have in place.

Your professionalism, experience and drive will allow you to meet the sales targets in place.


Role Purpose:

To successfully manage and achieve reservations through to timely legal completions, with excellent customer relationship management. The sales team will liaise closely with the operations team to integrate new customers into the village.


Role & responsibilities:

- confidently conduct appointments with prospective purchasers
- undertake tours of homes and village facilities
- advise on facilities, services and ongoing fees
- negotiate home reservations and
- assist customers through their buying journey.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Communicate with customers to arrange viewings and create a great first impression
  • Utilising the CRM system to follow up and record sales and marketing activity
  • Follow up on enquiries, viewings and secure commitment to the next stage
  • Undertake negotiations and secure reservations
  • Progress reservations through the conveyancing process to legal completion
  • Assist with the integration of all reservists into village life
  • Give prompt reports on progress
  • Achieve individual and team targets
  • Assist with building the profile of the village in the local community
  • Adhere to company best practice and compliance

Qualifications & experience:


  • 2+ years as a Sales Negotiator in new build property or retirement village settings
  • Previous experience of managing the full sales process
  • Experience of selling new properties off plan
  • Experience of liaising with solicitors/third parties during the conveyancing process
  • Strong IT skills including Word, Excel and use of CRM systems

Working Pattern:

30 hours per week, working Sunday to Wednesday 9am to 5pm.
