Role Overview


The Digital Delivery Director ensures robust oversight, continuous improvement, and innovation of digital project delivery at Identity; and partners with the Head of Digital to maintain and grow an empowered, accountable, high performing team.


This role has five key responsibilities:


  • Project Delivery: Oversight and accountability for all digital production outputs within all relevant workstreams including delivery of hero projects

Leadership: Deputise for the Head of Digital as needed. Line manage senior team. Represent the digital department within the agency and externally, furthering understanding and confidence in the team and our work

Strategy: Senior level contribution within the digital department alongside the Digital Technical Director, Digital Creative Director and Head of Digital to drive continuous improvement and innovation, and guide department strategy andobjectives

Pitching: Provide commercial and technical management across pitches, building strong relationships with relevant stakeholders and ensuring digital is engaged early and effectively

Resourcing: Manage and resource plan the permanent and FL Digital team

Summary of Responsibilities

Project Delivery

  • Collaborate with delivery HoDs, senior stakeholders and support departments to ensure robust, accurate resource planning for fulltime staff and freelance teams
  • Determine project methodology/approach and align this to project planning and costing.
  • Source and vet new suppliers and contractors, negotiate competitive rates and work alongside the Digital Technical Director and Digital Creative Director to establish a supplier repository
  • Proactively overcome project risks and issues by coaching the Digital team to solve problems and then ensure learnings are captured and implemented moving forward (in collaboration with the Digital team and HoDs)
  • Implement and maintain quality standards and best practise within the department, proactively sharing technical ability and understanding with the team and agency stakeholders
  • Provide formal and informal project estimates
  • Lead hero digital projects as required, taking a handson, collaborative approach to delivering exceptional work

Leadership & Resourcing
Line manage the senior digital team
Plan and cast digital project and pitch resources
Support learning and development within the department


Pitching

  • Provide strategic, technical, and commercial input to support pitch and project teams to deliver outstanding work
  • Ensure tender responses are developed and submitted with input and engagement from the right stakeholders, building strong relationships and lead on digital decisions
  • Review and maintain a digital pitch resource library to ensure efficient, consistent, high quality pitch responses

Business Level Improvements:


  • Implement continuous improvement reporting and activities
  • Provide regular reporting and feedback to Head of Digital
  • Identify and implement process improvement initiatives within the team and agency

Training & Development:


  • Share bestpractice, industry knowledge and experience with the Digital team and wider agency, and identify training opportunities
  • Provide inoffice and onsite support to the Digital team
  • Provide constructive onetoone feedback to the Digital team and colleagues

Communication:

Establish and maintain excellent communication between leadership and management teams across the agency
Delegate tasks and responsibilities effectively (delegating both up and down)
Maintain professional internal and external relationships that meet Digital team and agency values
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with all business services support departments
