- To review and refer findings from the First Trimester Scan and provide counseling for procedures like CVS/Amniocentesis
- Collaborate with Community Midwifery Service on Antenatal and Newborn screening
- Interpret Screening Test results and schedule follow-up appointments as needed
- Coordinate further screening for high-risk cases and facilitate necessary investigations
- Support women undergoing procedures and provide post-procedural care and result notifications
- Ensure appropriate care plans are in place and make referrals to Consultants when necessary
- Coordinate care for women opting for termination due to fetal abnormalities
- Collaborate with Research Midwife in the Fetal Medicine unit
- Act as a Deputy for inquiries regarding Antenatal & Newborn Screening and Fetal Medicine
- Organize educational events to raise awareness of screening and Fetal Medicine
- Demonstrate expertise in relevant procedures and practices, supported by theoretical knowledge and practical experience
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge and take charge of care assessments and delivery
- Essential: Substantial post-registration experience
- Desirable: Previous exposure to Fetal Medicine Unit and completion of NHS screening e-learning
- Essential: Registered Midwife
- Desirable: Genetics certification
