Salary:
£40,836.48 per annum. + 14% unsocial hours + on-call allowance

Annual Leave Entitlement:

Initial entitlement 33 days (inclusive of Bank Holidays), rising to 35 days after 1 year and increasing dependent on length of service.

About the role:

We have a rare and exciting opportunity for a Senior Sister to join and lead our In-Patient team in delivering quality care and specialist support to people affected by life limiting illness.

You will be actively guiding the team through change and development responding to palliative & nursing strategy implementation on both a local and national level.

Critically you will help shape the delivery of excellence in palliative & end of life care, leading by example nurturing, and developing compassionate leadership in practice.

A proactive approach to safety & system learning is paramount.

The post demands an active role in quality & service improvement. Working cohesively with the medical & nursing leads, delegating duties through an informed framework is essential. Clinical shifts will be paramount to understanding the needs of patients & team on a regular basis.

The service operates 24/7. Shift patterns include weekends and bank holidays. There will be a requirement to work toward joining the hospice on call management team on a rotational basis.
