Job description:


Could you be one of our new Business Support Officers? This is an opportunity for a hardworking and enthusiastic individual in a varied and fast-paced role within the Central Region which requires an ability to deal with sensitive matters and handle the expectations of customers.


As the Business Support Officer, you will be working with DIO colleagues and our Service Provider to enable the organisation to achieve its objectives of delivering quality services to the Front-Line Commands (FLC's) in a timely and cost-efficient manner and assist in facilitating effective performance of the Service Delivery Areas (SDA) 6, 7 and 8.


As the Business Support Officer you will provide support to the Area Manager's SDA 6, 7 and 8 by acting as the focal point for setting up the monthly Operations Management Meetings (OMM) and minuting the record of decisions (RoDs) and follow-up on associated actions.

You will support TFM issue resolutions at establishment level in the Central Region, utilising effective communication and influencing skills providing an effective interface between the DIO, Estate Users and Service Providers.


For the Area Team meetings on a weekly basis you will assist the Area Manager North by compiling relevant guidance issued by DIO Central and the Centre of Excellence (CoE), amongst other sources, whilst utilising and exploiting Microsoft products including Excel and Teams to manage and report.


You will collate issues/responses from the North Region team meetings, combine with weekly SEFM/SFM Area Manager meetings and prepare in readiness for the Area Manager North to present to the Senior Leadership Team on a weekly basis.


Part of your role will be to collate requests made by DIO Central and the Centre of Excellence (CoE), amongst other sources, liaise with the Area Manager North and SDA teams to ensure actions are followed up in a timely manner.

Liaise with external visiting teams and confirm arrangements as necessary.

You will be accountable for ensuring that you adhere and conform with all agreed DIO and associated processes and operating procedures.

Person specification:


  • The team will be responsible for all Area of Responsibility (AOR) Total Facility Maintenance (TFM) matters within the North Region. Acting as an interface between Estate Users and Service providers.
  • To support the Area Manager's Service Delivery Area teams within the North Region. Acting as an interface between, DIO Estate Users and Service providers.
  • Responsible for supporting the management, review and reporting of TFM risk and issues across the Area of Responsibility.


  • Contract Management

  • To monitor and provide support to clarification of FDIS contract questions and queries.


  • Assurance Checks

  • Assist with the management oversight of occurrences and failures of the Contract and support to the Estate Facilities Managers in the delivery of assurance checks at Establishment level.
  • Ensuring changes / updates are publicised clearly with impacted individuals informed at the early stages, escalating where necessary.


  • PPD

  • A willingness and aspiration to learn all aspects of the business within Area of Responsibility.

Licences:


  • A full UK Driving licence will be required as public transport is not available
