    Job summary

    We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individualwith developing leadership skills and experience of co-production to join ourteam working across mental health providers including health, social care and Voluntary,Community, Faith and Social Enterprise sector.

    You Will:

    Build and develop relationships with individuals and localcommunity groups to explore the lived experience of people who use our mentalhealth services.

    Be driven and committed to the continuous improvement ofpatient experience in mental health services including the use of systems, processes,and written report to review and analyse patient experience data, identifyingoutcomes and impact measures.

    Please note, due to the ongoing cost reduction programme and restructure underway at SNEE ICB (due to end in Summer 2024), prior consideration for this role may be given to existing staff who are affected by this programme and this role may be removed from the recruitment process at any time.

    Main duties of the job

    This post will play a key role working with theco-production and engagement teams within health and social care, supportservices, operational teams and senior management to lead and embed theparticipation and co-production journey in the Suffolk and North East Essex.

    The post holder will support mental health services andexisting lived experience groups to build and maintain relationships indelivering transformation plans and to amplify the voice of lived experience inthe design, improvement and delivery of services. The role will involveengagement with our local population and have direct contact with service usersand carers.

    The post holder will use their excellent communicationskills and pro-active approach to influence and strengthen co-productionactivity within transformation plans.This will include working closely with health trusts, social care andother partner organisations across Suffolk and North East Essex to identify andpromote creative delivery of co-produced services.

    Job responsibilities

    The SNEE Mental HealthCo-production/Engagement Lead will work as part of a dynamic team to support effectivemental health co-production and engagement within the Suffolk and North EastEssex Integrated Care Board (SNEE ICB).

    You will be responsible for thedevelopment of highly specialist engagement plans to support the strategic prioritiesfor the ICB, underpinned by extensive knowledge and experience of workingwithin health and care.

    Youwill have responsibility for the strategic and tactical processes, striking aperfect a balance between service development, quality improvement, patientexperience and outcomes.

    This role supports the ICB indriving transformation as well ensuring value for money in planning, commissioning,and service development. You will be working within a complex environment,across the organisation, to develop long term plans for co-production andpeople and community involvement. Buildingon a combination of subject matter expertise and technical skills you willdevelop engagement plans to ensure service user experience is embedded at alllevels. Leading high quality, expert andstrategic engagement alongside other senior colleagues working across the ICBand its partners, designing work programmes and delivery plans to achieve outcome-basedaccountability.

    You will adopt a matrix approachto ensure strategic work plans across SNEE are also embedded within the threeAlliances to inform the strategic development of the work.

    You will be responsible for havingengagement and co-production oversight into the plans which support thedevelopment of mental health services across Suffolk and North East Essex. The role will require collaborative workingwith partner organisations, including the NHS mental health trusts (EssexPartnership University Trust (EPUT) and Norfolk and Suffolk Foundation Trust(NSFT), acute hospitals and the VCSE.

    Supporting key partners and system engagement willbe a key part of the role, ensuring the views of our residents inform the jointcommissioning and provision of services.

    You will be expected to promote the vision,objectives, and priorities of both the ICB and the Mental Health Collaborativesto staff, our partners, and the public and inspire others by role modellingorganisational values at all times. Youwill promote a culture of value for money, outcome-based customer focus andcontinuous improvement.
