What will this role achieve?
The role is part of the Impulse Leadership Team; a key contributor to incremental growth in Impulse, our most profitable channel, with full ownership of the financials and the responsibility of shaping and delivering our plans through a range of initiatives.
- Financials: Drive the delivery of the Impulse channel budget, with indirect ownership £155M Net Sales FY23, £15M growth YOY
- Strategy: Partner with the Impulse Director to build the overall Impulse strategy with the relevant growth drivers and enablers, to embed/implement with team and socialise with senior partners.
- Senior stakeholders influence: Influence and challenge key senior partners in Customer Management, Category, NRM, Marketing, to ensure we have the right pipeline, the right activity and the right focus to deliver our set of critical metrics
- Scorecard, evaluation, action: Embed a culture of evaluation for Impulse by establishing the channel AOP scorecard. Analyse performance and gaps and holding people to account to deliver plans and activities.
- Playbook: Develop playbook targets and align with Commercial planning, Finance and NRM on the shape of the plan, and the articulation of our plans and activities what, when, where and how.
- Risks and opportunities: Lead proactive Impulse air traffic control approach to our plan, working with crossfunctional teams and agencies to identify key difficulties that might affect the delivery of the number.
- Projects ownerships: Impulse primary stakeholder for finance, supply and innovation.
Team & people:
Coach and educate key partners on Impulse growth drivers and success factors.
What do you need for this role?
- Experience in FMCG, food and drinks
- Experience in convenience and impulse preferred
- Previous commercial role, various functions: Customer Management, commercial finance, brand/commercial planning
- Strong numeracy skills
- Balance of strategic planning (AOP, channel plan) and action orientated (playbook)
- Leadership, ownership and accountability
- Strong capability to influence and empower wider teams
- Manage stakeholders, able to establish relationships and influence at a senior level
- Prioritisation skills
- Approachable, informal, committed and passionate about delivering for pladis and for our customers.
