About DIO Regional Delivery
Regional Delivery in DIO provides Hard and Soft Facilities Management to most of the UK and Overseas estate, in addition to providing a safe place to undertake Military training, as well as providing Service Family Accommodation.
It is a dynamic, customer focussed part of DIO, dedicating to improving the estate by using the power of it's collective expertise.
Regional Delivery Central - Regional Technical Team
The RD Central Regional Technical Team (RTT) will be responsible for the delivery of Hard Facilities Management Assurance on all establishments within it's remit and in accordance with the wider RD Central roles and responsibilities.
The RTT is a new team set up to allow matrix management of technical resource support of RD Central output and interim military capability.
The RTT will project own the more technically complex work in the Command Infrastructure Delivery Plans (CIDP) and ensure delivery from start to finish of the procurement process.
Summary of the Role
The Regional Technical Officer Central is accountable for ensuring their team adhere and conform with all agreed DIO TLB processes and operating procedures, and particularly those which are detailed under the key infrastructure process for: Ensuring that the service provision is provided across the sub area sites.
These are to provide assurance of service delivery and statutory compliance of the MOD estate, provide key stakeholder engagement and feedback on Industry Partner's delivery, performance management to ensure that the Industry Partner is providing the correct level of service against agreed indicators, issue resolution to ensure that site based delivery issues are resolved to maintain operational outputs against agreed Statements of Need (SON's) and in-year programme delivery.
This role consists of mainly business management tasks, including data management and managing Tier 3 Audits for the RTT, as well as acting as the first point of contact for the team and supporting the Line Manager.
Person specification:
- 1. Leadership and Management Develop self and assist Line Managers in delivering RTT departmental goals.
- Ensure local compliance with mandatory requirements, e.g. completing Mandatory training.
- Promote strong working relationships both with the team and with other teams across DIO and MoD.
- Communication/Engagement and Stakeholder Management- Responsible for key communication with Team Members within the RTT to maintain high levels of interface and support.
- Provision of a high quality and professional administration service.
- Development of communications and engagement activities for team.
- Day to day communications with team to support outputs.
- Reinforcement of DIO Corporate approach and messaging in stakeholder engagement activities.
- Development of stakeholder management and analysis activities for teaM/Function.
- Programme Management- Support programme management activity within RTT responsibility.
- Review and assess progress of in year delivery and report programme issues.
- Recommend corrective action or reprioritise as appropriate.
- Be aware of wider strategic management of the estate and raise issues as required.
- Carry out data management tasks as required.
- Contract/Performance Management and Reporting- To be the first point of escalation of project/site issues and provide users with regular and appropriate reports.
- Undertake Contract Change Management support.
- Attendance and participation of contractually required meetings, taking meeting notes as required.
