Using your knowledge and influencing skills, you will help the West Midlands deliver its strategies and achieve environmental outcomes.
These are hybrid roles, working at least 40% of the time away from home (for full time workers this is at least 2 days per week).
You'll have flexibility to choose which days and locations.Responding to incidents is a central part of what we do.
You will be required to have an incident role and make yourself available to respond to incidents or provide business continuity support during an incident.
This may attract an additional payment and full training and alternative working arrangements will be available to support you with your incident role.
- The team
- This role is line managed by the Upper Trent & Tame Land and Water Team Leader. You'll work with a range of environment officers, senior environment officers and team leaders providing leadership on incident management, advice, regulation, enforcement, debt collection, permitting and licencing, across the West Midlands area.
You'll be an integral part of our Water, Land and Biodiversity department, supporting team leaders to improve delivery across Land & Water.
- Experience/skills required
- Experience of coaching and mentoring others
- Evidence of planning and implementing actions to achieve corporate and environmental objectives
- Experience of influencing external customers and internal colleagues and of delivering results
- Evidence of the interpretation of technical guidance and an ability to translate these into practical solutions for customers, colleagues, and the environment
- Experience of delivering environmental compliance and/or environmental outcomes in accordance with a relevant legislative regime
- Willingness to travel across the West Midlands Area and hold a level 2 warrant
