Job description:


The DIO Major Programmes and Projects (MPP) Air Directorate, which is a £4bn portfolio of work covering a dispersed geographic area.

It encompasses all capital construction work undertaken in the UK on behalf of the Royal Air Force, as well as elements of the Defence Estates Optimisation programme.

The new customer focussed Air directorate strives to build commonality and consistency of service to the customer across the portfolio, delivering an outstanding service to time, cost and performance in a safe and responsible manner.


Summary of the Role


The Assurance and Approvals Co-ordinator will support the Assurance and Approvals Manager in the development of the assurance function and processes, embedding into MPP relevant processes and tools, and facilitating and supporting Assurance activities, including Audits and Gateway Reviews and management of the Approvals Tracker.


Person specification:


  • Support the Air Assurance Manager to develop and deliver the MPP Assurance & Approvals Framework.
  • Support and assure representative sample of all assurance and audit activities.
  • Establish relationships across MPP to assist implementation of the Assurance and Approvals Framework.
  • Corporate support to the Assurance and Approvals functional areas.
  • Secretariat support to multiuser accounts and key meetings.
  • Maintain Assurance and Approvals data to assist compliance checks across the USVF MPP Programme.

Desirable Skills & Experience

  • To have experience and knowledge of the Governance and Assurance aspects of P3M.
  • Experience of working in the Ministry of Defence and/or other Government Departments or Public Sector organisations.
  • Experience of infrastructure delivery.
