POST:
Lift Installation Maintenance Engineering Assessor


REPORTS TO:
Operations Manager (engineering)


SALARY:
£38,000 - £40,000


MAIN DUTIES:


1.1 To teach and assess, using a blended learning approach, including a mix of live e-learning tutorials, traditional (classroom), and workshop (workplace) on a range of Engineering Apprenticeships and courses.

Delivery will take place across a number of venues nationally (UK wide) including workplace settings.

1.2 To take responsibility for specific areas of work within the curriculum area.

1.3 To provide support and guidance to learners.


1.4 To operate as an effective member of the engineering team and to work closely with other areas of the business.


1.5 To carry out administrative duties associated with teaching, including maintenance of registers, schemes of work, assessments, reports, course records and course evaluations to a satisfactory standard and within established deadlines.

1.6 To ensure safe working practices are observed by yourself and others (including learners) for whom you are responsible.


1.7 To provide such returns or reports as may from time to time as required by the Company Directors or Operations Manager (engineering).

1.8 To assist in the recruitment of learners, including interviewing and enrolments.

1.9 To assist in the marketing and promotion of Train'd Up provision.

1.10 To assist in the development of curriculum support materials.


1.11 To assist with programmes of work experience and/or industrial and commercial liaison, including the organisation and monitoring of work experience placements.

1.12 To ensure the principles of equality and diversity are upheld.

1.13 To maintain plant and machinery where practicable.


ADDITIONAL DUTIES:
2.1 Undertake additional duties as required.


2.2 To ensure Health & Safety and Safeguarding procedures are adhered to and safe working practices are observed by you and others (including learners) for whom they are responsible.

2.3 To promote the company ethos with regard to Equality and Diversity and act as a role model.

2.4 You will be required to become qualified as a First Aider.

2.5 To take part in approved staff development as part of the Train'd Up staff development programme.

It is mandatory for employees to complete 'Safeguarding Young and Vulnerable Adults' training after which you will receive a certificate.
