We are looking for an experienced Estimator who can estimate large commercial office fit out tenders and opportunities.


The role of Estimator is key to the company's future development and success in delivering a continuous flow of newbusiness and identifying future opportunities in both competitive tendering and design & build projects.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Maintain and develop client relationships.
  • Maintain subcontractor and supplier databases.
  • Assess tender documents to ensure sufficient information available to prepare tender, send out RFIs where required.
  • Prepare and issue subcontract enquiries and assessment of quotations upon return.
  • Arrange and coordinate site inspections/surveys.
  • Put together tender submission, perform risk analysis and review with Senior Estimator, Commercial Manager and Sales Lead.
  • Submit tenders on time and follow up.
  • Work with Sales Lead on D&B projects.
  • Put together detailed and accurate scope of works for pricing.
  • Work with subcontractors to ensure accurate scope of works.
  • Pricing and preparation of tender bid with Sales Lead.
  • Post tender queries, clarifications and negotiations.
  • Post tender analysis.
  • Preparation and handover to project team on successful tenders.
  • Attend post completion washup meetings with project team.

Skills Required:


  • Proven experience in construction, and /or fitout estimating with the ability to read and understand drawings.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes.
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines and multitask.
  • Proficiency with MS Word, Excel and Project.
  • Experience of Eque2 Evaluate and Stratosphere take off software would be an advantage, though not essential as training will be provided.
  • M&E experience desired but not essential.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Dedicated, wellorganised and reliable.
  • Great attention to detail.
