    Job Title: Senior Orthopaedic Arthroplasty Fellow - Knee & Hip Surgery

    The position available is for a Senior Orthopaedic Arthroplasty Fellow focusing on Knee and Hip Surgery. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside high volume arthroplasty surgeons at University Hospital Llandough in Cardiff, Wales. The successful candidate will be involved in various procedures including primary and revision hip replacement, partial, total, and revision knee replacement, as well as knee arthroscopic surgery. In addition to clinical duties, the candidate will engage in research projects and ongoing studies.

    Candidates are required to have completed a basic Orthopaedic Registrar training programme and passed the relevant exit examination. This position is suitable for individuals looking to enhance their operative experience before applying for consultant roles or CESR application.

    References covering a minimum of three years of prior employment or training will be requested. Applicants must also disclose their current immigration status to comply with Border Immigration Agency regulations. A Disclosure Check will be mandatory for the selected candidate.

    Main Duties:

    • Work at specialist Registrar level
    • Participate in the specialist Registrar on-call rota at Llandough Hospital

    Qualifications:

    Essential

    • MBBS or equivalent
    • FRCS (Tr & Orth) completed

    Desirable

    • Intercalated Degree
    • MSc or PHD
    • Academic Excellence (Prizes, merits, distinctions, etc.)

    Previous Experience:

    Essential

    • Completion of Registrar Training programme or equivalent
